I know it is hard to take a good picture every day, but I will try my best and we will see how things work out!

There had been a huge storm some time ago in my hometown. The wind was so strong, that it shaken the magnificent, old sycamore trees down to their roots. These trees were the pride of my hometown and many of them had to be cut off because they were not stable anymore. It made me very-very sad, to see those streets so bare. And if that was not enough, for whatever reason the local government decided to cut off all the remaining trees as well even in those streets where they had almost all remained stable. The sight is just plainly painful for me...

I love surprises, so all the time, when my parrents asked me about what do I want for a birthday, or some other occasion, I used to tell them to surprise me. Since they kept asking for help I have decided once to give them a short list, covering all sorts of things (smaller and greater ones as well) so they can use it as guide, and I still can get my surprise. On this list, I have mentioned the game of Settlers as well and last time around they bought it to me. Since then, every time I go home to visit them it is integral, that we play it. They just fell in love with it and I have to admit that I like the idea, that somehow my wish turned out to be the source of some really good memories. =)2011. július 26., kedd

Forgive me, but this picture remindes me to some hungarian (Tankcsapda) lyrics which I would rather not attempt to translate into english. Nevertheless it goes something like this:"Tudom én, erős vagy, persze
De ha a fejedben ott van a fejsze
Vagy a fegyver csövébe nézel
Ott már semmire nem mégy pénzzel" 2011 July 13.
And no picture yet again. My friends are still here, they are still having fun (at least it looks so), and I still have to work.

Well-well. After our great trip I had to get back into the trademill straight away. I actually did "create" a nice picture and titled it "the art of the failed science", but I have only printed it and not saved it, and the I have left the printout hanging on the whiteboard in my office. Maybe I will scan it and upload it after the holidays. No guaranties tough...

Guess what! I am having some guests up here, from Hungary. Since the weather seemed to be kind with us on the first few days, we have decided to go on a trip straight away. That directly resulted in the miraculous phenomenon that I have serious difficulities to pick a picture for the day. Finally I have settled for this one, on a "first-come, first-served" basis =) More to follow on my other blog, once I got there...2011. július 15., péntek

I don't know what to think about the Netherlands. Honestly. From the air, it looks like a chess-board. Fields, each and all about the same size, with a barn and some other buildings surrounded by trees in the corner of them. In some areas they all had windturibes as well. Everything in order. Only the rich net of channels and the shores of the lakes and the sea can break the rules of this rigid geometry. I don't know what to think...2011. július 10., vasárnap
