2010 december 14.

Despite me being on this shot, I can assure everyone, that I took this picture using my tripod. One could definitely state that there is nothing extraordinary in this caption, and indeed, it would be a perfectly valid statement, as it is not even a really good take. So, why bother to take it, and moreover - why post it?
I took this picture to show the reason behind the nonexistence of a couple of new night-pictures that were supposed to be taken during the evening. Simply a splendid chat with my flatmates - whom I have not seen for a month - was just way more attractive than a walk in the cold-cold Bergen night.

2010 december 13.

This had been a long break in terms of new posts, but luckily not so much of a break at all in terms of taking pictures. I have moved back from France to Norway, from, Grenoble to Bergen, and than I have left the land of the wonderful Fjords for some much needed Christmas Holidays at home, in Hungary with my loved ones. It was a rather busy time for me, but it could not keep me away from taking pictures on a daily basis.
This is gonna be the first time, when I post a little collage of some sort but it seemed to be the only way to show all the nicely designed sides of a norwegian milkbox of the Christmas season =)

Finally - just the day before I left France - some freetime came together with some much needed good weather, so I went for some hiking in the surrounding mountains. I took a couple of decent enough pictures again, and the rest will probably land on my other blog at some point in the not-soo-distant future but if the virtual album of this hike would have a cover, I am pretty sure, that this picture would be it =)

There were a couple of things that I have really appreciated while in France. One thing - that is actually coming quite strong on the list - are the sweets. Norway is a nice place to live and you can find really good sweets as well, but ever since I am here I have been missing the variety. I just love all the forms of quality chocolate and I have grown up eating all the goods that Hungary can provide, and that is really a lot compared to Norway, so it felt especially good to find all those heavenly forms of sweets that France can offer.
And from the scale, these simple chocolate puddings were My Blueberry Pies! =)

As I have indicated it in a previous post, I felt that I have to revisit the theme of this impressive monument at some point. Well, here it is, but this time, from a different angle and in daylight =)

And since drawing all day would be a little bit too monotonous for me, especially for more than one day at a time, I just recalled it from my memories, that the peacefull resort of fairytales is always an inviting place to withdraw to.

As you might as well figure it out, from the picture of the day, I were more concerned about another imaging technique in these days, but I think it is understandable. You have to occupy yourself with something relaxing while you are feeling sick...

2010 november 28.

This time I found it really hard to pick the picture of the day. I was attending a "sit-and-listen" style concert with Iló and Maya, and during the concert we have been playing around a lot with the two cameras we had with us what ultimatelly resulted in a lot of good pictures.
The only problem was that due to the dimly lit place, I had to use high ISO values in most cases and that meant a lot of noise on the captions. Anyway I still kind of like this picture.

I am back from a bit of a travelling, and I have some time to spare in front of the computer again, so it is update time! I think it is not necessary to talk too much about this picture, but I guess it would be rather rude not to introduce D.ö.m.e. the mildest polar bear ever wandered on this planet, starring together this time with the already presented Pemzli =)

Today's picture is a bit different again, from all the previous ones. Actually, this is a kind of answer to a challange, of some sort. Out of the blue, it started snowing to today here, in Grenoble, and when I mentioned it on our great social networking site, suddenly I got rather specific instructions, how I have to balance a snowflake home (to Hungary) on my nose. Well, at least I have attempted to do so =)

Due to bad weather conditions, but contrastingly good apple-seed conditions, I am more than happy to present Dese Pelap, my miniature friend, with his rather stunningly detailed bouquet  in his hand =)
God, it is hard enough to arrange those small seeds in a formation, not to mention to draw on them! Anyway, I think it was totaly worth it=)

Well, here it is; the (little bit lastminute) picture of yesterday. The thought behind was to introduce the camera that is my companion in all my advantures, because I regard it really highly, and I honestly think, that it deserve every praise. And since it is not that straightforward how to take a picture of your camera... well: I have tried to do something different.

Today's picture is a host of mine, at the place I'm staying, during my time in France. As so many things here, it has its own, strange caracter as well. At least, I would concider a colorful, miniature nodding-turtle - who is not willing to leave the lid of a candy jar, no matter what - a little bit strange. Anyway, I can promise, that from now on, I will respectfully leave this magnificent silent guardian in peace on it's post.

Today, I have decided to leave the university a bit earlier, than usually, because my eyes got tired pretty quickly this time. I was hoping, that maybe I can take a couple of pictures with the lights of the sunset, but it turned out, that I was just a little bit too late for that, as the Sun disappears behind the mountains rather quickly here in this time of the year. Anyway, there were still enough light to take this nice picture of the snowy peeks under the shiny Moon. Not the best caption of the year, but it should make do for today!

This picture was taken from "my" balcony. I have to admit, that I made quite a mistake with it, as I have not double checked neither the setup of my camera, nor the picture thorougly enough in time, so I have not noticed that it is rather noisy due to the high ISO value, that had been used. Nevertheless, since I had not taken any other pictures today, I will have to stick to it, altough this mountain is a pretty good topic, so I might as well revisit it later on, maybe in the lights of the setting sun! Who knows?

Well, it is most certainly not the last time, that Pemzli, this most certainly remarkable creature appears on these pages. As you can guess, the weather was still quite ugly outside, and I have not spotted anything interesting on my way to work either, so once again, the picture of the day was taken in the kitchen as my little fellow were desperately reaching out for the rather psychedelic-looking toaster...

Here we go!

I have been thinking about this idea for a while now. I also meant it as a surprise to someone, who is unspeakably important for me. I am not quite sure how it all will turn out, but the goal is to take a picture every single day, and share it here. Most probably I will fail in this attempt, and surely I will not be able to update the blog every day, but if I fail, I will not be smugling in pictures taken on other days, that is for sure! Anyway, as I have stated it in the description; I will take it slowly, always just one at a time!
